Welcome - Call for P a r t i c i p a t i o n

20th Anniversary of Baiona ISEF2005 Celebration

Welcome to the ISEF2025 conference!

We are excited to bring together the international community of researchers, engineers, designers, and professionals to share insights, explore innovations, and foster collaboration in Electromagnetic Fields. Whether you're presenting cutting-edge research, participating in discussions, or networking with peers, we hope this conference provides valuable opportunities to deepen knowledge and conceive new projects.

The ISEF (International Symposium on Electromagnetic Fields) conference was conceived as an influential and recognized international event, entirely devoted to share the highest level of knowledge on new trends in mechatronics, electrical, and electronic engineering. The origins of this event go back 50 years ago to 1974, when it was first held as a National Polish Symposium on "Electrodynamics of Transformers and Electrical Machines" at the Castle of Uniejow near Lodz, Poland. At that time, it was organised regularly as a Polish national meeting. In 1985, the event was envolved into an International Symposion dedicated to Electromagnetic Fields held in Warsaw. ISEF is now a biennal even. Recent successful editions took place in Nancy (France), in 2019, hosted by the Université de Lorraine under patronge of IEEE France Section, in 2021, hosted by Lodz University of Technology, and the most recent one in Pavía (Italy), in 2023.

The 22th edition of the Symposium, ISEF2025, hosted by University of Vigo, will be held in Baiona at The Parador Royal Palace, Spain, September (22) 23-25, 2025. This marks the second time the event will be hosted at this venue, a medieval castle transformed into one of the jewels of Spain's estate-run Parador hotels. Baiona is a modern village well connected by motorway, high-speed trains, and an airport with connections Spain’s major cities and several international destinations.

The Royal Village of Baiona, a major trading center in the Middle Ages, is now a exclusive coastal destination in the northwest of Spain, not far from the UNESCO World Heritage cities of Porto, Portugal, and Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain. These places are known for their stunning beauty, welcoming people, vibrant atmosphere, excellent wine and cuisine, and rich cultural heritage, providing a unique experience.

We hope that ISEF2025 will offer an excellent opportunity to meet again with our colleagues in-person faciliting to recover that we all missed during the pandemic. In this occasion, we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Baiona ISEF2005 and it will be an excellent motivation to celebrate altogether that memorable edition that came to Spain for the first time.

All attendees are welcome to participate as follows:

  • Authors. Those submitting and presenting their accepted papers in Poster or Oral Sessions.
  • Students. Those applying for a reduced fee or competing as Author for a grant awarded by RediNtransf.
  • Invited Lecturers. Those delivering an overview talk on broader subjects, discussing developments, and offering insights on their applicability in Plenary Oral Sessions.
  • Keynote Speakers. Those delivering Special Oral Sessions.
  • Co-TechPartners. Those showing their competencies and lastest solutions in a technical exhibition during Coffee Breaks.
  • Regular Attendees. Participants who do not fall into any of the above categories.

In keeping with the event's traditional spirit, the ISEF2025 structure will consist:

  • Poster and Oral Sessions. All participants are invited to submit their work in paper format according to the deadlines. The accepted papers will be presented for discussion within Poster or Oral Sessions. All papers presented at the Conference and accepted after peer-review process managed by the Editorial Board will be published in select journals indexed in Scopus and/or WoS, depending on the scope of their content.
  • Technical Exhibitions. They are conceived to facilitate the Co-TechPartners in sharing their latest technical solutions with researchers, scientists, engineers, and market players.
  • Panel Sessions. This format will provide brief overviews and stimulate broad discussions on long-term developments in hot topics.
  • Special Sessions. A special session will include a group of papers focused on a particular topic within the Conference's thematic areas.
  • Social Events. Additional social activities, including programs for accompanying persons, will be part of ISEF2025 to foster a friendly and family-like atmosphere.

Lastly, Baiona will warmly welcome all participants, offering its beautiful environment, beaches, gastronomy, and hospitality in a location rich with historic heritage.

The organizing team is committed to making ISEF2025 a spectacular and memorable event once again in Baiona for all attendees.

Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to a productive and inspiring event!
